Model City

Working with the Maison de la Création located at the Model City of Laeken gave us the opportunity to think about the question of the ideal city, and even more about the very notion of utopia. What a curious quest utopia is. As fragile as it is powerful, as real as it is unattainable, as harmful as it is nourishing.

It is not the architect who orders it, nor the urban planner who plans it, it is the business of men and women to inhabit it, to cultivate it, to tell it, and thus only to breathe life into it. Utopia lies dormant in the hollows of overflowing souls.

We are the utopia, at every moment. And like us, it moves, it sings, it cries out.

We don't pretend to paint such a dream, but with our drawings we wanted to show what a dream a place like this one already is, where everything that is most precious in life can be shared with others.
